Spherical Roller Bearings

Spherical roller bearings are a versatile type of rolling-element bearing that are designed to accommodate angular misalignment and support heavy radial and axial loads. They feature an inner ring with two inclined raceways and an outer ring with a common spherical raceway, allowing the barrel-shaped rollers to move in parallel and compensate for up to 2 degrees of misalignment. This makes spherical roller bearings well-suited for applications with potential misalignment, such as gearboxes, wind turbines, and mining equipment, where they can operate reliably under high loads and moderate speeds. Spherical roller bearings are available in a variety of configurations, including single-row, double-row, sealed, and split designs, to meet the specific requirements of different industrial applications.
