Metric Tapered Roller Bearings

Metric tapered roller bearings are a specialized type of rolling element bearing commonly used in industrial and automotive applications that experience high axial loads, such as vehicle axles, gearboxes, and construction/mining equipment. These bearings feature an inner and outer ring raceway designed as a section of a cone, with tapered rollers in between, allowing them to tolerate large amounts of axial force. The original metric part numbering system for these bearings was based on the ISO 15-dimensional plan for radial bearings, using three alphanumeric fields to define the diameter series, width series, and bore code.
